Up to 30 centimeters of snow is on the way for some parts of Nova Scotia today in the first storm of 2010.
The Environment Canada Winter Storm warning issued for Nova Scotia on Saturday morning predicts "the combination of a run of high astronomical tides, storm surge and large pounding waves will lead to coastal flooding and could damage infrastructure along the Atlantic shoreline and Northumberland strait tonight near the high tide."
